Wai Kai Wave & Lagoon

About

West Oahu's premier waterfront destination featuring Hawaii's first stationary deep-water surf wave — the Wai Kai Wave — overlooking a 52-acre lagoon. Ride the big-turn wave, tackle the AquaVenture and AquaPeakz inflatable obstacle courses, or paddleboard the calm lagoon waters. Dining, live events, and shopping round out the experience.

Our Take

Hawaii's first stationary surf wave is legitimately impressive — the Wai Kai Wave generates a real big-turn line in deep water, and watching experienced surfers run it is a show in itself before you ever get on. The inflatable obstacle courses on the lagoon are chaotic fun for any group, the paddleboarding is calm and beautiful, and the LookOut restaurant next door handles the hunger problem. The 35-minute drive from Waikiki pays off.
